Our Father's Love

I have so many happy memories of my Dad and so many funny memories because he loved to laugh and was not a stern father. I remember when we were little kids and he would be away at work and he would come home on Wednesdays and weekends we would just run to meet him at the door and wrap our legs around his feet and he would laugh and carry us into the house with him a kid on each foot! He was always there for us and would do anything for us, drive us here and there and those would be the times we would tell him our woes or triumps and he would listen and help or praise us. We wouldn't tell our Mom how he would take us for rides over the hills of St Raphels at a fast speed so we could get that

elevator feeling! So many things he did for us and was for us but he had the job of a Father and he relished it! You see we
were blessed to have a Dad who showed us in his actions the true nature of Father God. My concept of God is a kind and

loving

Father who waits at the gate, who loves unconditionally, who loved everyone no matter how the rest of society felt. He
offered himself as father figure to many not his own and was never shy to love and to love generously. His town and

friends were one of his biggest joys next to his family. He so loved his town and although he hated to leave it he accepted
with his usual sweetness that he had to be where he was and accepted it. Three weeks ago in a rare phone call where he
was alert we were saying goodbye and he said in the end as usual "Goodbye I love you too". But then he added "very much

and I always will, remember that". He couldn't talk to me when I got home and we never will talk again on this side of theveil. But thanks to my Dad I believe that someday we will see each other again. Until that day I have that last farewell, and Daddy I will always remember that. We, your children grew up in a garden in the Shadow of Yaweh, that was you our dearest father!
Love Susan
