Condoléances: Christine/Thomas and family, our deepest sympathy on the passing of your dear father. Your father was a kind and gentle man who loved his grandchildren and was gifted at entertaining them. Sam enjoyed seeing him whenever he was in town because he always had a new magic trick to show him. He'll be greatly missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Please let us know if you need anything..

Condoléances: I worked with Fred at Concordia University during the 1987-1992 period. I found him to be a consistently optimistic person, who approached life's challenges with a wry humour. He was someone who would use a credit card buy a car while on the road in Western Canada, just because he needed a car, there and then. He was loyal and devoted parent who exchanged the same Christmas card with his son, back and forth, year after year. In his latter years, he remained devoted to the welfare of others, including helping his former academic colleague, Robert Curnew. I last saw Fred in September of 2004, at the funeral of academic colleague Howard Ripstein, and found Fred to be once again ageless--and timeless.

Condoléances: Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. We will always remember Fred as a dear and faithful friend, to our family, and to so many others. We will always cherish the memories we have of worshipping and serving the Lord together at Christ Lutheran Church.

    Love and prayers,

    Joan, Frank, and family.

Condoléances: My condolences are offered to the family. As a fellow C.A., I worked with "Freddie" for a brief period at the former Clarkson, Gordon & Co. in Montreal. I have rarely encountered such a dedicated and diligent professional who, at the same time, was enjoyable to be with. Many years have passed since then, but I am am certain that Frederick's professionalism touched and inspired others in the same manner as it did me. Farewell colleague.

Condoléances: Chris...big huggs to you and your family...take care of yourself!
    Luv ya
    Suzie

God saw you getting tired Dad
And a cure was not to be
So He closed His arms around you
    And whispered, 'Come to me',
    A golden heart stopped beating
    Your gentle hands at rest
God broke my heart and proved to me
    He only takes the best!

In tears I saw you fading
    I watched you drift away
    My heart was almost broken
You fought so hard to stay.
But when I saw you sleeping
In peace and free from pain
I did not wish you back
    To suffer that again.

So keep your arms around him, Lord
    And give him special care
Make up for all the moments
    When life seemed so unfair.
So many times I needed you
    So many times I cried
If loving could have saved you Dad
    You would have never died.
