He was a wonderful example to all of you of what being a good son, husband, father and neighbor meant, but I know him best as a loyal friend to Ernie. They had a lifelong friendship which certainly had its ups and downs, but your Dad was always there to offer whatever was needed. He was very generous and could be always counted on to help anyone anytime. You can be grateful that you had good, very supportive parents with down-to-earth, common sense views on how families work. That shows in the way you've all turned out - good, responsible adults raising your families in a way that would make your Mom and Dad proud.
