On March 11th 2008, the death of Amanda Sarah Nicholson, aged 18 years, occurred at the family home in Angus. Surrounded by those she loved the most, Amanda passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer. As Amanda’s family gives thanks for her life, they take comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving arms of her mother, Sandy, and her great-grandfather, Cornelius Sloan. Cherishing Amanda’s memory are father Nelson, step-mother Jackie, sister Bailey, brother Reid, step-brother Sebastian, step-sister Madeleine, beloved family member Tryna Gray, great-grandmother Alice Sloan, grandparents Beverley and Gordon Wastle, and Joan and Hugh Gibson, numerous aunts and uncles, great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and her wonderful friends.

Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629) on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Williamstown on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11 am. Spring Interment Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family will gratefully accept donations for a memorial scholarship that has been established in Amanda’s name. As a Memorial to Amanda a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
