Donalda Christena McLennan Vallance (nee McCuaig) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Maxville Manor on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Donnie, as she was affectionately known, was from Maxville. She celebrated her 88th birthday March 12th. She leaves behind Wilfred Vallance, her loving husband of 65 years. She is the caring mother of Nancy (Carl) of Alliston, Jim (LeeAnne) of Maxville, Janet (Harold) of Dunvegan, Don (Miriam) of Avonmore and Ian of Dalkeith. She is also survived by her brother Clark McCuaig (Isabelle) of Lancaster. Donnie was predeceased by her daughter Heather (Donald Mode), her sisters Maybelle (Wendell) MacDermid and Janet (Archie) Robertson, and by her parents, Malcolm George McCuaig and Catherine Angus Clark. Proud grandmother of Steve (Jill ) and Cam Mann, Craig Mode, Sarah and Rod MacCrimmon, Jeremy and Kathleen Vallance, Andrew, Emily and Daniel Vallance, and great-grandmother of Sophie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Donalda's life will be held at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Maxville on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11 am. Spring internment will be held in the Maxville Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to Maxville Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Donalda a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
