Peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Monday, April 30, 2007. Robert Joannette of Ottawa; formerly of Cornwall; age 63 years. Loving father of André (Anne), Chantal and Stéphane (Christine). Husband by a former marriage of Cécile Levert. Cherished grandfather of Pascale, Mathieu, Noémie, Kaitlin, Mikaila and Madeline. Dear son of the late Lucien and Pearl Joanette. Dearest brother of Yves (Blanche), Bruno (Fernande), Pauline (Marcel), Murielle (Ubald), Viviane (Adrien), Raymond (Monique), Denis (Pamela), Nicole (Brent), Luc (Joanne) and Carole (René). Predeceased by his brother, Richard. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Alexandria, (613) 525-2772, on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Eglise Sacré-Coeur on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. followed by cremation. Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by his family. As a memorial to Robert, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows -- memories live.
