Passed away suddenly on Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Joan Jaeck of Alexandria; age 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Jaeck. Loving mother of Gordon Vachon (Elaine) of Green Valley, and Brent Vachon (Manon) of North Lancaster. Caring grandmother of Lee-Ann, Steven, and Amanda. Cherished sister of Alex "Sonny” Willard, Francis Willard (Shirley), and Catherine "Cathy” Claude (Jean-Paul). She will be sadly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Joan is predeceased by her parents John James Willard and Sarah Florence MacDonald, by her brother Wilton Willard (Nicole), and by her sister Lorna Besner (Albert).
Friends and family may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 114 Main Street South, Alexandria 525-2772 on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003 in St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
