Mildred O’Connor born February 20, 1921, residing in St. Raphael’s West, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the age of 85. Daughter of the late Allan Archie and Isabelle McDonald (nee Cameron). Beloved wife of the late Thomas O’Connor, and loving mother to Fern McDonald (Duncan), Alvin O’Connor, and Densil O’Connor. Sadly missed by her 2 grandchildren Sherry McDonald (Richard Levert), Tracy Ann Irish (Michael), and great-grandchild Eliza Levert. Dear sister of Angela O’Connor, and Graceline Chisholm. Predeceased by sisters Katherine McPhee, Hazel McDonald, Gertrude McDonald, and brother John McDonald. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South Alexandria (525-2772) on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 11am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the CNIB, the Lupus Foundation, or the Heart & Stroke foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Mildred a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
