At the St. Jacques Nursing Home, Embrun on Monday June 16, 2008. Cecile Joanette of Green Valley; age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Archille Joanette. Loving mother of Marcel of Kingston, Normand (Marielle) of St-Eustache, Lise (Gilles) of Rockland, Ronald and Huguette both of Gatineau, Thérèse (Richard) of Orléans, Bernard of Montreal, Serge (Suzanne) of Orléans, André (Maureen) of Gatineau, Daniel and Gabriel both of Ottawa, and Jean-Marc (Suzanne) of Gatineau. Dear sister of Berthe Labelle and Florence Dubeau. Predeceased by one son Roger, by four brothers Jeremia, Lucien, Oscar and Rheal and by two sisters Anna Legault and Lucia Blouin. Dear daughter of the late Napoleon Joanette and the late Alphonsine Proulx. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, June 20, 2008 from 2-4 pm and 7-10 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sainte-Marie-de-l’Assomption Catholic Church, Green Valley on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Cecile a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
