Passed away peacefully at the Community Nursing Home, on Friday, October 31, 2008. Laurette Emma Ouimet (nee Brunet) of Alexandria; formerly of Glen Robertson; age 80 years. Beloved wife of Lionel Ouimet and loving mother of Louise Sherren (Anthony) of Georgetown, Michel Ouimet of Alexandria, Daniel Ouimet (Guylaine) of Glen Robertson and Claudine Nadeau (Denis) of Alexandria. Cherished grandmother of Mélanie, Patrick, Stéphanie, Christian, Ghislain, Nicholas and Karine. Dear daughter of the late Alexandre Brunet and Marie-Louise Marleau. Dear sister of Claude Brunet (Germaine) of Hawkesbury, Rita Binette, Aline Anderson (Maurice) and her twin sister, Fleurette Renaud all of Ottawa, Lucette Brunet of Montreal, Huguette Brunet of Orleans and Marguerite Elder (Steve) of Ottawa. Predeceased by two brothers, Noel & Raymond Brunet and by one sister, Gertrude Brunet. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria (613) 525-2772 on Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Martin de Tours Church, Glen Robertson, on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial Donation made the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Laurette, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows â€" memories live.
