Peacefully at Maxville Manor on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Jessie Martin Freeland (nee Martin) of Maxville; formerly of Mississauga; age 98 years. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Freeland. Dear mother of Rev. J. Gordon Freeland (Ruth) of Brampton, William (Bill) Freeland (Patricia) of Maxville, Janet (Netta) Baird (late Rev. Trevor Baird) of Morton, Ill, Margaret (Peggy) Baird (Neville) of Wheaton, Ill, Mary Campbell (Gordon) of Leicester, England and Barbara Clayton of Black Creek, B.C. Jessie is survived by 25 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren as well as her sister, Mary (Mae) Taylor of Mississauga. Predeceased by her parents, William Wilkinson and Janet Martin, her brother, William (Bill) Wilkinson, sisters, Martha (Mattie) Freeland and Sarah (Sue) Boagie. A graveside committal will be held in Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, ON, on Monday, March 23, 2009 followed by a Memorial Service at Kenmuir Avenue Baptist Church, 1640 Carmen Dr., Mississauga at 2 p.m. For those who wish, Memorial Donation to Kenmuir Avenue Baptist Church would be appreciated by her family.
