Passed away at the Hospice May Court in Ottawa on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the age of 91 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis (Red) Kemp and loving mother of David Kemp and Garry Kemp (Sharon). Cherished grandmother of Ian (Trish) and Erin Kemp. She is survived by her siblings, Harold Masson, Ken Masson (Marg) and Una McIntyre and sister-in-law, Vivian (Kemp) Gregory. Predeceased by her parents, Walter Masson and Ethel Bilmer, sisters, Grace O’Brien, Evelyn Mizner, Lula Proulx and brother, Earl Masson. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613) 525-2772 on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A celebration of Violet’s life will be held at the Alexandria United Church (Church on the Hill) on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Alexandria United Church Cemetery. For those who wish the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation, Queensway Carleton Hospital or the Hospice at May Court, Ottawa.
