Condoléances: I am a person who met "Trudy" on our lunch visit to the Pizza Shop in Lancaster. She had her special table, and I sat next to her. Over the many meeting I got to know her a little, and always marveled at her high spirit and sense of humor. I would also see her each trip I made into Lancaster taking one of her long walks with her specisl cane, and always with one of her pretty hats.
Lancaster has lost a great lady.
    RIP Trudy.

Condoléances: A few years back Trudy showed me many old photos of herself and her family, all in very bad condition due to age, water damage and tearing.
I spent a great deal of time enhancing and repairing these photos with "Photoshop" on my computer and I still have a total of about 30 on file, many of which are pictures of Trudy (and her sister)as a rather stunning teenager as well as pictures of her family, all of whom I don't know the names of or their relationship with Trudy as they date back to the turn of the century....
Should anyone in her family want any of these photos please E-Mail me and I will gladly send them on to you.

I found out today of her passing, and I am saddened by the loss of such an energetic and wonderful lady who's very presence seemed to light up the room and put all who met her in a good mood...
The world will be a little darker place with her passing
God bless you Trudy...you will be loved and missed by all that knew you....

  • de: Jenny Whynott

Condoléances: Trudy was not like my sister-in-law but more like my sister. She spent a lot of summers with us in Cape Breton and she loved it! I have many fond memories from those summers but I would love to share a light-hearted one. On one of those trips I washed her hair and forgetting how much she hated water, I threw a jug of rinse water over her head and boy, for a tiny lady, could she ever kick!

She's up there now with her family and all I can say is "save a spot for me".

    I love and miss you,
    Jenny

  • de: Nora Pitcher

Condoléances: Roger, Cathy, Collette and Families,

Aunt Trudy was not only a special Aunt but also a loving God Mother to me. In this time of sadness I can find happiness in the wonderful memories our families shared when we were younger. Throughout the years, distance never stopped Aunt Trudy from staying close to her family in Louisbourg and later in her life we looked forward to her yearly birthday visit to Cape Breton. I always enjoyed hearing her many stories about her dancing with Uncle Dick (who was my God Father), her tartans, her children and her grand-children over our glasses of wine. I will truly miss the special closeness I had with Aunt Trudy. I'm sure she is happy now sharing her stories with Dad and Auntie Kay.

    Love,
    Nora

  • de: Lynn Daniel (nee Bissell)

Condoléances: To my cousins: Roger, Cathy and Colette
Your mother was my godmother and Aunt Trudy to me, a close sister to my mother. There are many memories of adventures with our two families plus the Whynott family in Louisbourg. There are many stories of the two sisters getting together even though many miles across Canada separated them after awhile. For me personally I shall always remember out trip to England to visit my brother, Christopher, where Trudy helped with his baby Nancy, and our tour of Scotland with my daughter Carlene. May the memorial service provide peace for all of you. I am with you via spirit.

  • de: Stewart Whynott

    Condoléances: Roger, Cathy and Collette,

Sorry to hear about Aunt Trudy. I have had some great times with her in Nova Scotia when she would come visiting to Mom's. We would talk old stories over the odd glass of wine. Also had a laugh about the summer I went to Boucherville and the good time I had.
Hope you and your families are doing well.
Trudy will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

    Stewart, Bonnie, Amy and Adam.
