Passed away peacefully early on Friday, October 16, at St. Joseph’s Villa, in Cornwall.
Beloved wife of Arthur Percival Fisher (1920 -1981); and daughter of Thomas Benjamin and Mary Catherine (Wightman) Snider. Mother of David (Tina), Peter (Ruth), Tom (deceased), Nancy (Bill), Brian (Catherine), Jeff (deceased) and Randy (Christine). Much loved grandmother of Kerry-Leigh (Kelly), Matt (Stephanie), David (Trish), Keitha (Rich), John (Tammy), Erin, Kim, Kaitlin, Ben, Alex, and Deborah. Step-grandmother to Ashley. Great-grandmother to Mason and Abby, Cameron and Alyson, Ethan and Hannah, Audrey and Morgan; and welcoming step-great-grandmother to Paige, Kyle, and Cameron.
Sister to John (deceased), George (deceased), Norma (deceased), Connie, Donald (deceased), and Sheila.
Over a full life-time of farming and raising a family in the Bainsville and Lancaster area, Mom had the good fortune to make many life-long friends whom she valued deeply.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at Quinn House, St. Joseph’s Villa, York Street, Cornwall, where Mom felt very much at home.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, from 7-9:00 pm and Monday, October 19, from 9:30-10:30 am, at Munro & Morris Funeral Home, 46 Oak St., Lancaster, Ontario (613) 347-3629; and the funeral will be held on Monday, October 19, at 11:00 am, at St. Andrew’s United Church, 2nd Concession, Lancaster Township, Bainsville, Ontario. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice.
