Passed away peacefully at Maxville Manor, Maxville, Ontario, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Hubert “Umberto” Vitone of Alexandria; formerly of Montreal; age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Marcelle Vitone (nee Dionne). Loving father of Carol Modugno (Robert) of Montreal, Ron Vitone (Mireille) of St-Hippolyte, QC and Phil Vitone of Alexandria. Cherished grandfather of Tina, Karyn, Laurie, Emily and Emma and great-grandfather of Franco, Joey and Luca. Dear brother of Gloria Ostrom of Oshawa and Roland Vitone of Rawdon, QC. Predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Maria Vitone. In keeping with Hubert’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Hubert, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
