Peacefully in his sleep at The Palace Retirement Residence, Alexandria, on Thursday, May 27, 2010. Denis John Carl Nacreto of Alexandria; formerly of Williamstown and Green Valley; age 87 years. Beloved husband of Wilma (Betty) Nacreto (nee Dalglish). Loving father of Janice McDonald (Ron) of Green Valley and Step-father of Cheryl Jelley (John) of Yarker, ON. Proud grandfather of Tyler, Brody and Shannon McDonald, Robert, Randy and Jason Jelley, 9 great-grandchildren and predeceased by one great-grandson, Brandon Jelley. Dear brother of Florence DiIoia (Dominic) of St. Leonard, QC. Predeceased by his parents, Dominic Nacreto and Eveline Perreault. In keeping with Denis’ wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Raphael’s Parish Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Raphael’s Community Center. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or C.H.E.O would be appreciated by the family. In memory of Denis, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
