Peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Antoinette Valade (nee Hamelin) of North Lancaster; age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Victor Valade and loving mother of Claude Valade (Claudette) of St-Lazare, QC, Ronald Valade (Francine) of North Lancaster, Monique Valade (Jacques Boucher) of Laval, QC and Pierre Valade (Nicole) of Alexandria. She was the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Olivier Hamelin and Lea Lascelle, as well as 3 brothers and 8 sisters. Mrs. Valade is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, (613)525-2772 on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Glen Nevis, on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Antoinette, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
