Peacefully at Community Nursing Home, Alexandria on Friday, July 2, 2010. Donald Simon Fraser of Dalkeith; in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth May Fraser (nee MacGillivray). Survived by his sister Anna Barton (late Roy) of Vankleek Hill. Predeceased by his sister Isabel McCuaig (late William), his infant brother Keith Burns Fraser and by his parents Alexander William Fraser and Margaret Helen Fraser (nee McPhee). Dear uncle of Catherine McArthur (late Garry) of Lancaster, Keith MacCuaig (Anlynn) of Cornwall, Gordon MacCuaig (Sue) of Calgary, Margaret Leaver-Power (Det Braunschweiger) of Toronto, Helen Purdy (Dean) of Lombardy, Mary Fraser (Donald) of Alexandria and Manson Barton (Christiane) of Rockland. He will be fondly remembered by his many great-nieces and nephews, and by his good friend Harold MacMillan. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South Alexandria (613) 525-2772 on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Tuesday from 10-11 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11 am. Interment will follow in Kirk Hill United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Vankleek Hill or The Glengarry Pioneer Museum would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Donald, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows - memories live.

The Brethren of Masonic Lodge St. John’s 21A, Vankleek Hill are requested to assemble at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 5, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. for a Masonic Service in honour of our late Brother, Donald S. Fraser.
