Suddenly at his residence on Thursday, September 9, 2010. André Joseph Vander Haeghe of Alexandria; age 68 years. Beloved husband of Hélène Vander Haeghe (nee Dionne). Loving father of Annette Vander Haeghe of Ottawa, Monique Quesnel (Denis) and Linda Vander Haeghe both of Alexandria. Cherished grandfather of Alain, Sophie, Hope and Stéphanie. Dear brother of Eugénie Martin (Norbert) of Alexandria, Albert Vander Haeghe (June) of Edmonton, AB, Marguerite Gauthier (Georges) of Glen Sandfield, Jacqueline Bourbonnais (Albert) of St-Timothée, QC and Marcel Vander Haeghe (Shirley) of Alexandria. Predeceased by his parents, Charles Vander Haeghe and Juliette Cantin as well as three brothers, Gérald, Claude and Raymond. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, (613) 525-2772 on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to André, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
