Alvin O’Connor born Feb 20, 1949, a long time farmer of St Raphael’s, South Glengarry, died peacefully at Alexandria Community Nursing Home on Sunday September 26, 2010 at the age of 61. He was a son of the late Thomas and Mildred O’Connor (McDonald). Beloved brother of Fern McDonald (Duncan), and Densil O’Connor. Sadly missed by his nieces Sherry McDonald (Richard Levert), Tracy Ann Irish (Michael), and great uncle to Eliza and Donavin Levert, and Quinlin Irish. He will also be missed by his many friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 114 Main Street South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St Raphael’s Recreation Center would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Alvin a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
