Peacefully at Granite Ridge Specialty Care, Stittsville on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Mary Mildred Vallance (nee Kinnear), previously of Cornwall and Maxville was in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan C. Vallance. Loving mother to the late James Ronald Vallance and to Florence Campbell (John) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Bruce (Marilyn) of Vancouver, Brian (Lily) of London, Brent (Cindy) of Chatsworth, Lori Grant (George) of Ottawa and Kathy Rothery (Bryan) of Georgetown. Also survived by daughter-in-law Sharon Whyte (Lloyd), by four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers George and Melvin Kinnear. Many thanks to the staff at Granite Ridge and Garden Terrace for the great care Mary received at both places. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Granite Ridge. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South Maxville (613-527-2898) on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 10 am until 12 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the Maxville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Mary a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
