On Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Maxville Manor, we sadly lost Anna just shy of her 99th birthday on May 9th. Loving mother of Frances of Maxville and Edward (Robin Hale) of Montreal. Beloved wife for 49 years of Frank (Pranas) until his death in 1991. Born in Montreal, Anna outlived her five brothers (Joe, John, Frank, Alec and Benny) and her immigrant parents Joseph Janusaitis and Antonina Naikelute who came to Canada from Lithuania in the late 1800’s. She will be missed by family and friends including Robin’s mother, Eve Belley, Joe-Ann and Ed Barisa and Anna’s nephew Ron Janusitis and his wife and son Faye and Stephen who live in Australia. The Ilgunas family is deeply grateful to all who graced Anna’s life over the years and to the Maxville Manor staff for the caring attention she received there since she moved in on March 4, 2010. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro and Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 am. A celebration of her life will take place in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 11 am. During the summer, Anna’s remains will be buried in Montreal next to Frank’s. For those who wish, donations may be made to Maxville Manor or to a charity of your choice. As a Memorial to Anna a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
