At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Everett William Nixon of Dalkeith; age 78 years. Beloved husband of Billie Nixon (nee Lasalle) for 56 years. Loving father of Sandra McDougall (Howard Barclay) of Alexandria and Robert Nixon of Dalkeith. Predeceased by two sons Allan and Rodney Nixon. Dear brother of Wilda MacIsaac (Harold) of Nova Scotia, Ransom Nixon (Shirley) of Ottawa, and Audrey Nixon Crawford (Don) of Alexandria. Dear son of the late Kenneth and Mabel Nixon. Also survived by five grandchildren Mary, Brittney, Jason (Kelly), Bruce and Matthew (Terra), and by one great-grandchild Riley. Fondly rememberd by Audrey Kennedy (Gerard), Janice Nixon, nieces, nephews, the Lasalle family and many friends. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Service will be held in St. Columba Presbyterian Church, Kirk Hill on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Everett a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
