At the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Brenda Gleeson (June Magorka) of Alexandria; age 77 years. Loving mother of Laura Kozel of Cornwall, Debbie Osman (Sam) of Kirkland, Que., Gloria Mott (Donald) of Mississauga, Andy Magorka (Jacynthe) of Glen Robertson, and Alfred Magorka (Kandie) of Strathroy. Dear sister of Lucienne Brazeau of Nepean. Predeceased by one son Alex Magorka (Line) of St. Eustache, one brother Fernand Gleeson, and by two sisters Vivian Knowles and Florence Yelle. Dear daughter of the late Patrick Gleeson and the late Lucienne Biron. Also survived by ten grandchildren Katy, Patrick, Jennifer, Jessica, Nathalie, Jason, Ella, Ashley, Diane and Brandon, and by nine great-grandchildren Ismaël, Kate, Jacob, Maddox, Mia, Emily, Hailey, Ava and Harper. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 1-5 pm. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. A special ‘Thank you’ to the nurses and staff at the Ottawa Civic ICU for their excellent palliative care of Mom and family members. As a Memorial to Brenda a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
