Peacefully at the Maxville Manor on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Hannah (Brennan) Lehmann of Orillia and her sister Eva Boothby (Roy) of Huntsville. Survived by her dear sister Beatrix of Maxville Manor and her sons Bill (Jean) of Crysler and Bob (Donna) of Orillia. Beloved grandmother of Kathryn Doan (Adrian Fisher-Fleming) of Tsawwassen B.C, Elizabeth Veh (Peter) of Russell and Laura Doan Ventura (Rainieri) of Vancouver. Loving great grandmother of Hannah Fisher-Fleming and Landon Veh. A long time resident of Orillia, Alberta was a U of T. BA (Science) grad who had a career as a teacher and lab technician. A life long gardener, art historian, painter and avid reader, she was a kind and gentle parent and friend. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 11 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11am. Interment will be held in St. Andrew’s-St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 11 am followed by a reception at 12 noon at Doolittle Carson Reception Center, 57 Neywash St. Orillia. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to the Orillia Art and Historical Society, the Madagascar School Project, the Maxville Manor Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Alberta a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
