At Hospice Cornwall on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Olive Gorman Higgins (nee Collins) of Alexandria; age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Higgins, and by a previous marriage to the late Oswald Gorman. Loving mother of Sharon Lee Davies of Alexandria and Lynne Gorman Wahl of Waddington, New York. Predeceased by one brother Cameron Collins and by two sisters Rhoda Blais and Jessie Orendorff. Dear daughter of the late Alfred Collins and the late Jessie MacDonald. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. south, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Olive a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
