I was so sad to hear about John passing when I spoke to my Dad Delard Dubeau this past week. I now live in Alberta and have lost touch with many old friends. But I will always remember how John loved to make people laugh! What a wonderful gift to have. I remember both him and his sister Betty in elementary school with me and highschool and church and how much fun he brought to a gathering with all his jokes. What a shock it was for us to learn of this sad news. John and I go back a long way – back to high school years. John was always full of fun and also had a vivid imagination. He loved to tell stories and was in awe listening to stories told to him. Many days I would go to John’s family farm to help out. After the work was done, I would sit at the picnic table along with John and Pete (his dad), have a beer and listen to entertaining stories. It’s a great legacy that he leaves behind. May John rest in peace. He will be sadly missed.
