At the Community Nursing Home, Alexandria on Monday, June 4, 2012. Anita Murielle Lajoie (nee Lavigne) of Alexandria; age 68 years. Beloved wife of Claude Lajoie. Loving mother of Robert Viau (Danielle) of Green Valley, Michel Viau (Roxanne) of Alexandria, and Rachelle Viau of Montreal, and stepmother of Caroline Lajoie (Sean) and Paul Lajoie (Sherry) both of Cornwall, and Marc Lajoie (Emilie) of Taipei, Taiwan. Dear sister of Maurice Lavigne (Colette) of Montreal, Robert Lavigne (Jocelyne) of Fassifern, Florence Hurtubise (Marcel) of Alexandria and Hélène Davidson (Isidore) of Lochiel. Predeceased by two brothers Edgar and Daniel Lavigne, and by one sister Estelle Lavigne, and by one grandson François Viau. Dear daughter of Irene Lavigne of Alexandria and the late Ernest Lavigne. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11 am. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Anita a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
