Peacefully at the Chateau Gardens Nursing Home, Lancaster surrounded by his family on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the age of 79. Life long resident of Bainsville. Beloved husband of Lucille Carriere and father to Richard (Diane De Grasse) and Christian (Anne Marie Brown) both of Bainsville and Carole Décoeur (Jean) of Cumberland. Grandfather of Mathieu (Megan), Phillipe (Josée), Jean-François, Nicolas, Catherine, Mariepier, Katie (Christian Poulin), Steve, Jennie, and Josianne Glaude, Chantal, Maxime, Roch and Claudia Décoeur, and great grandfather of Jacob, Alexi, Alexandra Glaude. Survived by his brothers and sisters Jean (Suzanne), Jeannine Jolicoeur (Late Edmond), Phillipe (Paulette), Denise Besner (Jocelyn), Françoise Vermette (Marcel), Marguerite Vermette (Jean-Marc), Gérard (Anita), Léo, Normand (Ghislaine), Huguette Gauthier (Ghislain) and Noella Léger (Richard). Predeceased by one sister Yolande Murphy (John). He is also survived by his in-laws Annette Carrière, Jacqueline Léger (Gérard), Réjeanne Décoeur (late Laurent) and Fernande Montpetit (late Gérard) and by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629) on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lancaster on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Robert a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
