Beloved father of Linda Dashney (Terry Smith) of Glen Norman, Joyce Dashney (Raymond Brunet) of Maxville, and Donald Dashney (Joananne) of Alexandria. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Laura, Kaitlyn, and Brandon. Predeceased by one grandson Anthony, and by one sister Christena McIntosh (Stewart of Apple Hill). Dear son of the late Thomas Dashney and the late Eliza McCallum. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 11 am. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dunvegan. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to John a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
