At the Community Nursing Home, Alexandria on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. René Rochon of Alexandria; age 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Colette Rochon (nee Geneau). Loving father of Cécile Joly (late René) of Hawkesbury, and Jocelyne Brunet (Remi) of Alexandria. Dear brother of Azilda Rochon of Brossard, Quebec. Predeceased by 3 brothers Albert, Ernest and Ovila, and by 2 sisters Laura Belanger and Marie Jeanne Fassio. Dear son of the late Rodolphe Rochon and the late Rose Picard. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Alain (Nancy), Luc, Nathalie, Christian and Marc, and by 7 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to René a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
