Peacefully at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home, Lancaster on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon and son Alan. Survived by her sister Kathleen Brunt of Dundas, daughter Carol Herling of Toronto, son Graham Ayers of Green Valley and four grandchildren Nicholas and Martina Herling of Toronto, Christopher Ayers of London and Katherine Laid of Calgary. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 12 noon. The family will be in attendance from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Service. Interment will follow in North Branch Cemetery, Martintown. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Joyce, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows â€" memories live.
