Tragically on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Maurice O’Connor of Glen Roy; age 92 years. Beloved husband of 59 years to Inez O’Connor (nee Chisholm). Loving father of Donna O’Connor of Alexandria, Robert O’Connor (Joanne) of Green Valley, Keith O’Connor (Debbie) of Alexandria, Gail Keyes (Stephen) of Renfrew, Shelley O’Connor (Dan) of London, Connie Ruscica (Sal) of Whitby, Dean O’Connor of Alexandria, and Burke O’Connor (Johanne) of Ottawa. Dear brother of Lawrence O’Connor (late Jeannine) of Alexandria, Godfrey O’Connor (Simone) of Green Valley, Rita Fellows (John) of Trenton, Theresa Stoney (Russell) of B.C., Alice Bailey (Charlie) of Montreal, Esther McDermid (Malcolm) of Perth, and Dorothy Hughes (Allan) of Lancaster. Predeceased by 3 brothers Jerome (Bernice of Sudbury), Gilbert and Clement O’Connor (Angela of Green Valley), and by 3 sisters Ann McDonald, Barbara Aubin and Rosa Valade (Andy Guay of New York). Dear son of the late John Charles O’Connor and the late Josephine Thauvette. Also survived by 12 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Maurice a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
