With her children at her side, Jo-Ann passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Bob Safruk (2009), and Billy Duggan (1981). Cherished Mother of Joe (Isha), Share (Wayne), Shyldon (Jodi), and Frank (Emilie) as well as many loved foster children. Loving Nanny to Emma, Ty, Jackson, Katie-James, Charlotte, and Rory. Sister of Lynda, Dan, Bob, Patrick and Adele. Predeceased by brother Dave. Everything she did helped people from her efforts as an addictions counsellor to her work with The Children's Aid Society and finally as a personal support worker. She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Shepherds of Good Hope 256 King Edward Road, Ottawa would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Jo-Ann a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
