Died comfortably at Cornwall Hospice on Saturday, October 5, 2013 Kaz Grzegorek of Alexandria, formerly of Williamstown; age 87 years. Architect, weekend farmer and master woodworker. Devoted husband for 58 years to Grete Grzegorek (nee Paulsen). Loving father of Kristin Grzegorek (Rick Wedge) of Ottawa, adoring and proud grandfather of Elly Wedge. Predeceased by his parents Piotr Grzegorek and Antonina Grzegorek (nee Sobczak), and his brother Edward. Survived by his sister Olenka Kureczko in Poland, his niece Grażyna Zdrojewska and his grandnephew Janusz Zdrojewski. Special thanks to the staff of Cornwall Hospice, and Kaz’s neighbours and friends. A service in celebration of Kaz’s life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Williamstown, Ontario, on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in Irvine Hall next to the church. Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremated remains at St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629). In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to the Cornwall Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Kaz a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
