Passed away peacefully at home October 27, 2013, Eugene O'Connell at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Shirley O'Connell (nee Massia) of 50 years. Loving father of Maureen Lavigne and Wayne O'Connell. Loving grandfather of Amy. Dear brother of Muriel Bellefeuille (Maurice), Albert (Cecyle), Lynda Soper (David) and Raymond (Margaret). Predeceased by his parents Albert O'Connell Sr. and Lucienne Jette and one daughter Brigitte. He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Society would be appreciated by the family.
