At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 28, 2013. Michael Bauer of North Lancaster; age 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Mathilde Bauer (nee Wagner). Loving father of Michael Bauer Jr. of North Lancaster, Karl Bauer of Toronto, Louisa MacKinnon (Warren) of Alexandria, and Marianne Sauvé (Claude) of Glen Roy. Dear brother of Magdalene Bauer-Alcaraz (Pedro) of Montreal. Predeceased by 1 brother Max Bauer. Dear son of the late Michael Bauer and the late Anna Schmidt. Also survived by 3 grandchildren Felicia, Kirsten and Malcolm, and by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Glen Nevis on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Michael a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
