Avis de décès pour Jack Hendrie

Peacefully at Glengarry Memorial Hospital on December 18, 2013 with his beloved wife, Lynn by his side, after a courageous battle with COPD. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, Para Comrades and his loyal pets. Jack was proud of his service in the Royal Army Medical Corps in WWII. As a member of the British 6th Airborne Division, he parachuted into Normandy as a medic attached to the 1st. Canadian Parachute Battalion on the night before the June 6th D-Day invasion. He was always a well loved and respected member of the British Airborne Forces Association of Canada. Sincere thanks to Doug McLennan and Bruce Libbos for their friendship and support over the years. Thanks to Alan from Vitalaire, Eileen from Bayshore Nursing and Lisa from Paramed for their help and support which allowed Jack to remain at home. Thanks also to the staff at Glengarry Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion in his final days. A private gathering will be held at a later date to remember Jack. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. Maxville (613-527-2898). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Love You Big Lots Mr. J
