At home on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Harry Robert Leonard of Alexandria; age 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Theresa Leonard (nee Smith). Loving father of Debbie McPherson (Keith) of St. Eugene, Kevin (Kelli), Dale (Kim), and Kerry (Karen) all of Ottawa, Doug (Linda) of Greely, and David Leonard of Metcalfe. Dear brother of Clifford Leonard (Lise) of Thurso, Quebec, Catherine Dower (late Tom) of New Brunswick, Betty Leonard of Ottawa, and Helen Terkuc (Ray) of Stittsville. Dear son of the late Harry Robert Yenor and the late Eliza Dore. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 14 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 6-9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until 10 am. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10 am. Spring Interment St. Catherine of Sienna Parish Cemetery, Greenfield. As expressions of sympathy, Harry requested Memorial Donations be made to his great grandson's fund for the purchase of a wheelchair. Little Owen McHardy was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a devastating genetic disease that affects all the muscles in his body, including breathing, swallowing, coughing and eating.
