At the Chartwell Lancaster on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Hubert Contant. Loving mother of Lise Lapierre (Roger), Claude Contant (Nancy), Bernard Contant, Marc Contant (Donna) and the late Jacques. Dear daughter of the late Albert and Flore Chouinard. Predeceased by 2 sisters Carmen and Marie Claire, and by 1 brother Gerard. Dear sister of Charlotte Tessier (Orval), Louise Cooper (Eric), Andrée McAteer, Marcelle Zabchuck (Andy) and Denis Chouinard (Grace). Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster (613-347-3629) on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lancaster on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11 am. Spring Interment Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery, Alexandria. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Palliative Care Room at Chartwell Lancaster, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Alberte a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
