At the Perley Rideau Veterans Nursing Home, Ottawa on Wednesday May 21, 2014. George Eric Urquhart WWII Veteran of Lancaster; age 90 years. Beloved husband of 57 years to Sheila Urquhart (nee MacBean). Loving father Heather Urquhart of Cornwall, Allison Main (Brian) of Cornwall and Melanie Urquhart (Alain Cholette) of Lancaster. Predeceased by six brothers Kenneth, Roy, John, James, Gordon and Kenneth, and by nine sisters Jean, Rena, Marion, Helen, Bernice, Annabel, Peggy, Mae and Laura. Cherished grandfather of Melinda Main (Derek), Ian Main (Julie), Amy Malyon (Robbie), Andrea Decoeur (Neil) and Stephanie Carriere (Adam), and great grandfather of Austin Main, Troy and Kyle Malyon, Olivia Main and Ireland Decoeur. Dear son of the late Kenneth and Wilhelmina Urquhart (nee Robertson). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629) on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 10 am until 11 am. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 11 am followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or to the Lancaster Cadets would be appreciated by the family.
