Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday, May 22, 2014. René Pierre Ladouceur of Alexandria; age 81 years. Founder of Kenyon Auto Centre, Alexandria. Beloved husband of Gisèle Ladouceur (nee Richer). Loving father of Gaëtan Ladouceur, Vivianne Machell (late Jimmy), and Lucille Quesnel (Pat) all of Alexandria and Julie David (Ricky) of Cornwall. Dear brother of Fern Ladouceur (Gisèle), Michel Ladouceur (Heather)Yvette Séguin (Yves), Agathe Dorbeck (late Walter), and Diane Ladouceur all of Cornwall, Laurent Ladouceur (Chretienne), Marcel Ladouceur, and Pauline Lavigne (Donald Binette) all of Alexandria, Thérèse Racine (Marcel) of Moose Creek, and Claire Cadieux (Gerry) of Green Valley. Predeceased by one son Raymond Ladouceur, and by three sisters Gaby Bérubé, Germaine Ladouceur and Lucienne Ladouceur. Cherished grandfather of Laura-Dee, Jason (Meaghan), Stacey (Chris), Corey (Stephanie), Walter (Tiffany), Ashley (Chris), Raymond, Austin and Jasmine, and great-grandfather of Davin, Frederick, Akeisha, Akira, Damian, Logan, Lilly and Lucas. Dear son of the late Eddy and Marguerite Ladouceur (nee Belisle). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to René a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
