At the Heartwood LTC, Cornwall on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Gérard Rodolphe Séguin formerly of Alexandria; age 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Gladys Séguin (nee Lamarche). Loving father of Robert Séguin (Terry-Lynn) and the late Yvon Séguin (Leanne) both of Cornwall, Claire Larocque (Garry), Huguette Charlebois (late André), Michel Séguin and Daniel Séguin all of Alexandria, and Colette Norman (Terry) of Vankleek Hill. Dear brother of Fern (the late Stella), Hélène Levac (the late Jean-Louis), and Cécile Séguin all of Cornwall. Predeceased by his brothers Rolland (the late Délima), Rhéal (the late Lucienne), Jean-Louis (the late Thérèse), René (Clémente); sisters Rachelle Bruyère (the late Roméo), Fernande Marcil (the late Emile), Thérèse (Aurèle Loiselle) and Lucille Lafrance (Fernand). Dear son of the late Alexandre Séguin and the late Marie-Blanche Bourbonnais. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral on Saturday, May 31, 2013 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Gérard a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
