Suddenly at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Jean-Guy Joseph Roy of Alexandria; age 74 years. Beloved husband and best friend of 50 years to Joyce Roy (nee Desjardins). Dear brother of Suzanne (Raymond) of Buckingham, Laurencienne of Gatineau, Lise of Lachute, Rhéal of Cumberland, Gilles (Lucie) of Buckingham, and Alain (Diane) and Thérèse (Jacques) both of Hawkesbury. Predeceased by one sister Florence and by one brother Théophile Jr. Dear son of the late Théophile and the late Emilienne Roy (nee Larocque). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. He had many friends and was known by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11 am. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Jean-Guy a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
