At the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Joseph Armand Ménard of Alexandria; age 95 years. Beloved husband of Cécile Ménard (née Sauvé). Loving father of Laurent Ménard (Liliane) of St. Hippolyte, Que., Simone Langlois (Luc) of Blainville, Gérald Ménard, Nicole Gauthier (Gilles), and Denis Ménard all of Alexandria, Claire Ménard (Aurèle) of Casselman, and Monique Ménard Saint-Martin (Robert) of Navan. Dear brother of Bernard Ménard (Jeannine) of Glen Robertson, Raymond Ménard (late Yvette) of Valleyfield, Thérèse Deguire (Laurier), Arcade Ménard (Ghyslaine), and Jeannine Campeau (late Roger) all of Alexandria, and Gilles Ménard (Lise) of Bourget. Predeceased by one daughter Lucienne Stang (Fernand of Cornwall), by seven brothers Alcide (Laurette of Alexandria), Lucien (Olivette of Kingston), Rhéal (Adrienne of Green Valley), Charles (Annette of Cornwall), Hervé, Jean-Guy and Mederic Ménard (Gracia of Kingston), and by one sister Marie Ménard. Dear son of the late William and Clara Ménard (née Poirier). Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-10 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11 am. Spring Interment Parish Cemetery.
