At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Germaine Edith Girard (nee Richer) of Green Valley; age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Aurèle Girard. Loving mother of André Girard (Madeleine) of Green Valley, Gilles Girard (Ginette) and Roxanne Girard (Paul Robertson) both of Cornwall, and Jean-Pierre Girard (Micheline) of Long Sault. Dear sister of Norbert Richer (Rose) of Ingleside and Romuald Richer (Olive) of Ville St-Laurent. Predeceased by one infant daughter Pierrette, by two brothers Elmer and Raymond Richer, and by two sisters Fidèle St. Denis and Yvette Viau. Dear daughter of the late Victor Richer and the late Florida Sauvé. Also survived by three grandchildren Guillaume, Dominic and Sophie, and by three great-grandchildren Patrice, Xander and Escher. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11 am. Spring Interment Parish Cemetery.
